So, I don't know if anyone remembers Kristin Swenson but I sure remember all of you. Turning 38 this month made me think back to the Duchesne days and all of the bizarreness that was high school. I went online and found this blog. Even though I am not technically alumni, Travis was good enough to let me post and here I am.
me-- doing what I do best
Before saying anything else,
Missy, I am so, so sorry about the passing of your mom. She was an amazing lady and really made a difference in a lot of people's lives--including mine.
Dorothy, get in touch with me (kls13 at utah dot edu). I ride out there from time to time and would love to hook up with you.
Everybody else, feel free to get in touch too. Reading through this blog was quite a trip and I would love to attend the reunion. Even though I didn't graduate with you guys, we did grow up together and, as Missy said, Duchesne will always be my home town.
I'll try to do a brief summary of my life since leaving Duchesne:
After being expelled from DHS (nothing that I’m proud of) I attended Union High for the remainder of that year. My parent then moved to
In the spring of ’94 I took a week long vacation to go to Jackson. I just kept driving, following the melting snow, to
I spent the summer of ’00 hiking the
Fortunately, I still get to travel and adventure in the summers. This summer I am ultra running; I have a 100K race in
So that’s me. I looked through the blog and saw the beautiful families you all have made. I never did that, I have somewhat of a make-shift family right now. I’ve got a house mate named Fish and we have two yellow labs between us. Here is a picture of us at Christmas:

I can't wait to get to talk to you...Reading your post really brought back a flood of welcomed memories...My dad still chuckles each time...well, we'll leave that to the imaginations of others...let's just say when he thinks of some of the things we did together...Thanks for the kind words, I really miss talking to you...Hopefully we can reconnect! Congrats. on all of your accomplishments! You are and always were an amazing person that wasn't appreciated for what you were inside! Damn, we had some good times!!! LOL!!!
Remember you?! How could anyone forget Kristin Swenson? I have great memories of you and I definitely consider you a member of our class. You spent a lot of time with all of us. Can't wait to see you at the reunion!
Hey Guys,
glad to be in the loop!
Missy--I don't want to wait for the reunion to talk with you. Email me if you see this, I'm at kls13 at utah dot edu.
I've thought about you and your family so much over the past 20+ years. Things like iced tea and M*A*S*H reruns will always be classically "Pierce" to me!
As for Duchesne--even I didn't appreciate who I was back then. I think about what a weird little dork I was and just roll my eyes!
I remember you! I have alot of Elementary memories of you! I would love to see you, its been a long time!
A PhD in Educational Psychology! WOW! I am PROUD of YOU! You should write a book! Sounds like you have packed quite a lot into the last 20 years.
Hi. You were so much fun. It sounds like you still are. Your Mom was working in the UVRMC Hosp. when I did my Nurse training in 1989. Where is she now? How about Michael? It is so good to see and hear of you.
